Jupiter - PENDING ADOPTION

Hi future best friend, I'm Jupiter! <br/><br/>I've been told I'm a Boxer mix, but honestly I think I'm mostly just... dog? Big, wiggly, slightly slobbery good vibes.<br/><br/>My time at FDHS has been...an event. You know how some dogs have a rough start at the shelter? Mine has mostly involved accidentally injuring myself in increasingly creative ways. First, I sliced my paw open, which led to three separate vet visits because I wasn't very committed to the healing process. Then I discovered something called Happy Tail Syndrome. If you're unfamiliar, it's what happens when a dog has a powerful wagging tail and absolutely no self-preservation instincts spends too much time whacking said tail against kennel walls. <br/><br/>Long story short, I ended up needing a partial tail amputation. I look a little silly now, but I feel a whole lot better. The recovery process involved wearing a giant cone, which was deeply offensive to me. For weeks I wandered around looking like a satellite dish, occasionally running into walls, doors, and people. Nobody was safe. <br/><br/>The good news is that I'm all healed up now and still just being me! I love my humans, I love attention, and if you sit down, I'll probably try to become part of whatever you're doing. Personal space is still more of a suggestion than a rule. Other dogs? Meh. I don't mind them, don't necessarily need them.
