Meet Juno

Juno has been in our network since Dec. 2017. She was undersocialized at her surrendering owner's home, so doesn't think that being constrained by a leash is a good thing. She will take treats from her foster family's hand, but doesn't want to let them close enough to touch her collar.

With a guesstimated birthday in Feb. 2017, Juno weighs about 40 lb. She shows some aggression to particular dogs and enjoys playing with others. She ignores the cats in her foster home and is comfortable in a crate. She's showing better manners on a leash, but new things will startle her and cause her to pull away if her handler doesn't have a good hold on the leash.

Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we frequently have to make our best guess as to birthdate and breed.

If adopted into a home with other animals, particularly cats, your new pet should be crated or secured when you're not available to supervise to insure a harmonious relationship.

A vet reference is required to confirm responsible pet ownership. We suggest first time pet owners look for an adult dog for companionship and to gain experience.

All adoption fees cover two vaccinations plus spay / neuter if using our veterinarian. Additional fees for 3rd puppy vaccination, refundable spay/neuter deposit, etc. may apply. We are an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue. Available animals can be seen most Saturdays at Tractor Supply in Lenoir from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. For more information on our organization, our website is www.petpartnersrescue.org.
