Juniper's Story

Juniper has already survived the hardest chapter of her story. Now she just needs someone to help her write the happy ending.

When this beautiful 4-year-old mixed breed arrived at Wish Bone, she was emaciated and her paw pads had been burned completely off. Despite everything she had endured, her sending rescue described her as “very friendly” and “yet to make a sound.” And that gentle, quiet spirit has remained true throughout her recovery.

Today, Juniper is a healthy 55-pound girl who is house trained, crate trained, knows her basic commands, enjoys car rides, and is happiest simply being near her people. She is incredibly quiet, wonderfully loyal, adaptable, and has the sweetest little groany-yawny-howly sound when she's excited. She'll follow you around the house, curl up beside you, and happily choose between her crate and your bed when it's time to sleep.

Her foster mom put it best: “If I was in the market for a lifetime dog I would 100% keep her!!”

She is a little wary of men, so she'd appreciate a family willing to let her build trust at her own pace. She has done wonderfully with teenagers, and because she is a strong girl with a very enthusiastic tail, older kids are likely the best fit for her.

After everything Juniper has been through, she doesn't ask for much. Just a safe home, a loving person, and a family who will appreciate the incredibly special dog standing in front of them. She has spent enough time surviving. Now, Juniper is ready to spend the rest of her life being loved. Her minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.

For information about this dog's breed(s), visit:
http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/abc.htm

To fill out our adoption application, go to:
http://fs16.formsite.com/WishBoneCanineRescue/adoptionapplication/index.html
