June Bug's Story

Junebug is a sweet, 2 year hound with gorgeous ears and the best personality! She is currently in foster care in CT and is available to meet. This is what her foster family has to say about her:

Junie started out a timid girl but has been blossoming into quite the snuggle bug. She’ll take a little bit of patience to earn your trust, but it’ll be so worth it. She knows her name, is crate trained, and is house trained. She's also working on training with a gentle lead head harness (she’s a puller on the leash) and is making incredible progress!

Like I said, she’s timid at first with people, but she LOVES other dogs. She plays really well and takes a more submissive role when things get a little rough. She also has no interest in our cat - she’s actually a little scared of him after he gave her a good warning bop on the snout.

Junebug was picked up as a stray in West TN, and we are guessing that she was abandoned because she probably had very little interest in hunting. She knew she wasn't meant to be running the fields and would prefer to have a cozy warm home and snuggly couch. If you're ready to add a snuggly bug to your home, apply to adopt today at www.cprdogs.com.

JuneBug is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested negative for heartworms.

Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation.
