Julius, affectionately known as 'Juji' by his foster family, is a dashingly handsome 14-year-old pug mix with a short, light brown coat. Despite being just 18 pounds, his personality is larger than life and he makes for a great snuggle buddy.

Julius is an easy, well-behaved dog, who's a social butterfly loving and getting along with both dogs and cats alike. Although a senior, he is playful, but will respect other animals boundaries and back off if they're less interested in hanging out.

He's particularly well house-trained, politely signaling when he needs to go outside by standing by the door or pacing until you allow him out. He doesn't choose to spend time in his crate, only retreating when he feels unsafe and referring the freedom to roam around without issue.

When it comes to interacting with humans, Julius is an absolute sweetheart and delight. He loves affection and enjoys nothing more than snuggling up for pets. With his endearing habit of forgetting about his own tail, which often leads to comical chasing sessions, Julius never fails to bring a smile to his foster family's faces.

Despite his senior status, Julius is playful and energetic, eager to accompany his humans on leisurely walks around the neighborhood. He's also quite the food enthusiast, particularly fond of fruit, and will need you to protect the trashcan from him if he gets mischievous.

While Julius does have cataracts and allergies, requiring a manageable diet, nothing gets in his way of being the happy sweet pup he is. He approaches each day with gusto, ready to embrace whatever adventures come his way. He is a charming guy with quirky habits that will bring joy to whoever's lucky to call him family. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown.

Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 90-mile radius of Minneapolis; however, we will consider up to 250 miles if the applicant is willing to drive to cities as needed.
