This handsome youngster absolutely adores his people and greets them with joyful puppy enthusiasm. He can be a little bouncy when he's excited to see you (he is still a puppy, after all!), but he's not hyper—just a happy boy who enjoys being part of the family.<br/><br/>Maverick is currently recovering beautifully from a hock fracture. His cast is expected to come off after July 27, and he will then be ready to begin the next chapter of his life with a loving family. During his continued healing, he'll need modified activity, including leash walks and avoiding rough play while he finishes recovering.<br/><br/>He's a curious explorer with just the right amount of energy and has a charming personality that wins people over quickly. When left alone, Maverick settles nicely in his crate, which helps keep his inquisitive nature from getting him into puppy mischief.<br/><br/>Maverick has shown a bit too much curiosity around cats, but with an adopter who understands positive training and proper introductions, he has the potential to learn to ignore them.
