Joy's Story

Meet Joy! This is your typical gentle giant! She does well with cats and kids. She previously lived with a male mastiff. In her foster home she has been introduced to a 60 lbs male dog and just seemed to ignore him during the first intro. Joy previously spent her life living in a horse barn, because of this she is working on house training and house manners. She will make a wonderful addition to a family with patients and understanding.

Friends for Life Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
Potential adopters can visit our website and fill out an adoption application. We then do a vet check and a phone call to them. They come and visit the dog they are interested in at the foster home. There are at least 3 visits with the potential adopters and depending on whether there are other dogs in the household there is more than one visit with said dogs. At least one of the visits is at the potential adopters home so that a home inspection can be done. We encourage walking the dog and play interaction. We talk with potential adopters about training and decompression. We also offer help after adoption with any issues that arise.
