JoyAnn's Story

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and on heartworm prevention. We do vet exams and labs for every dog that comes in. Other procedures, such as x-rays, dentals, eye exams, surgeries, etc, are performed as needed.

JoyAnn came to us when her owner passed away. She was in bad shape. Bi-lateral cherry eyes (prolapsed tear ducts), and a huge painful hernia. The hernia was dangerous and complicated so it was repaired first. After she had fully healed we repaired her eyes. She feels so much better! JoyAnn is starting to enjoy life. She is housebroken as long as you take her out regularly. She is getting the hang of a leash, and she is fine with other dogs. She doesn't seem to care at all about cats. She is not old - maybe 5-ish? And we are guessing about her breeding. JoyAnn is an easy dog to care for and needs a stable home. She is very quiet unless she thinks you are dragging your feet at mealtime. She is serious about her eats! She is small but heavy for her size at 11-12 pounds. I would not recommend that she be placed with small children.

If you would like to meet this dog please fill out an application on our website at https://www.heavencanwaitrescue.org and click on the red dot. We gladly do out of state adoptions, but you must come and pick up your dog.
