She has a love of life and positive attitude that touches the heart. Joy will be a dream come true pup for a dog-crazy Colorado family that loves to hike, play and love on a gorgeous Mini Aussie.<br/><br/>Rescue dogs can initially be a bit shy or nervous. This is expected in light of the very long transports and stresses of rehoming. When an adopting family is sensitive to the challenges of change and acclimation for these dog's, the transition is far easier. A home with a loving and very nurturing family that provides an understanding that blossoming takes time is a perfect place for our wonderful girl. Socialization, pure love and belly rubs are gifts to a dog that is undergoing a life change. Joy is one of these pups that is a blank slate just waiting for the commitment of a great family. Her love will know no bounds as she becomes a best friend and loyal companion.<br/><br/>Force-free training classes with a positive reinforcement trainer will truly serve both Joy and her family (as it does every dog and their people). Together they will learn the skills to have Joy be a companion that is well-behaved out in the world. It also creates strong bonds of respect between pup and family. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved positive reinforcement / force-free trainers in your area. <br/><br/>At 3 years old, Joy is a perfect age and size to join an active dog-loving family. She is young enough to be a blank slate open to positive training and new concepts while being old enough to have left her babyish behaviors behind. <br/><br/>We envision active, dog-loving retirees for our sweet girl. Joy would be thrilled with the commitment and time spent. She would also do great with a younger family that works from a home-based office to love this wonderful dog up throughout the day. Joy also enjoys kids (a bit older is great so no tail-pulling or awkward handling occurs). She would thrive with the fun and special kind of love that children provide. We feel that Joy is too sensitive a pup to spend long hours alone while her family works full-time outside of the home.<br/><br/>Joy has a stunning tri-colored coat that is currently in need of a bit of love. A commitment to periodic grooming and excellent nutrition is a gift to all dogs. Current research is clear that a fresh, human-grade diet is the diet of choice for the optimum health of your dog.
