Meet Joy!

Do you ever wish they could stay puppies forever? Even though she’s a little gray and around 8-10 years old, Joy looks looks like a little Precious Moments puppy. And she’s super sweet to boot. She is likely a chihuahua and beagle mix. Her tail wags constantly, and she is just a cuddly little peanut weighing in at approximately 12 pounds.

Joy has been such a good girl since arriving in Wisconsin. She is fully house-broken and has had nearly zero accidents. The cold was a little tough at first, but she was a champ and never went anywhere but a potty pad. Unfortunately, Joy does not do well in a crate, but she’s working on it. We’re trying different kinds and if a crate is necessary, a soft one would be best. She’s been fine being left out on her own, though.

Joy is pretty much the perfect pup and would love to find her forever home. She has not been tested with cats, but does great with other dogs. She has been a little food aggressive, but not anything too concerning.

Joy is available for adoption through Ma Paws & Me Pet Rescue based out of Watertown, WI. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, and current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $200. To apply please visit mapawsmepetrescue.com

All Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue dogs are in homes with foster families; we do not have a shelter where dogs are available for daily viewing.

Our process is as follows:
1. Review our policies and adoption radius on our website: http://mapawsmepetrescue.com/adopt/
2. Submit an application for review and approval;
3. MPM Rescue reviews application and checks vet records and references;
4. MPM foster contacts approved applicant(s) to arrange a home check and meeting with available dog(s);
5. If there is a good fit, adoption is completed with a contract and fees (payable via check or cash).

Dogs from Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue come with the following medical care already provided:
- Spay/Neuter surgery
- Age appropriate vaccinations
- Heartworm test (for dogs over 6mo) and treatment if positive
- Microchip
- Deworming
- Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative
- Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian
