Meet Joy

Hello my name is Joy I was found as a stray in Texas until a nice family nursed me back to health from having heartworm to make sure I am ready for my forever home. I am pretty nervous around new people but will warm up with slow interactions as the family before the ones who rescued me were not very good to me. The previous families vet thinks I did get hit by a car a long time ago but it doesn’t affect how I want to run around and play with other pups and people. I do like to cuddle with you once I get to know you and love being pet. I walk pretty well on a leash, I will need to get used to the car noises and the street sounds as I get settle in, The rescue is doing what they can to help me get used to these new sounds.
