Journey is a very special girl. She survived on the streets with her -one little pup, Pebbles. Once we took her into our rescue, we discovered that she is deaf, that makes her story even more miraculous. Surviving alone on the streets is one thing, but protecting your baby when you can't hear is another. Journey is learning simple signs right now, sit, wait, come, down, she is eager to please so she learns fast. Pebbles, her pup, has found her forever home, and now Journey would like that next step in her life. She craves the attention of human touch, and being deaf is not a setback, it will just make the bond between her and her family that much more special. She would do best with older children, and if you have a playful friendly dog she would need to be introduced to see if it's a match. She wouldn't mind being the only dog in the house so she can get all the attention she deserves. Journey will come with a special harness that shows the world that she is deaf, a recall collar that vibrates when you want to get her attention, and a book on learning sign language for your deaf dog.
