Josie's Story

My name is Josie - my sister Liza and I arrived at AGPR just in time for Christmas. Our owner could no longer take care of us and wanted to make sure we found loving homes.

My sister was recently adopted so I'm looking for a loving family. I'm ok with some of the dogs I meet but will require a "meet and greet" if you have a dog...just to see if we are compatible. I'm not sure about felines yet since I haven't had any one on one time with a cat.

I love going for walks with my human friends. There are so many things to explore and sniff - such fun! For a youngster (I'm about a year old), I'm fairly well behaved but can always use more manners. My favorite thing? Love and attention from everyone I meet!

If you are looking for a new, young, sweet family member, please consider me!

All Great Pyrenees require a fenced-in yard (at least four foot high). If you have questions about the breed or our adoption policies and procedures, please go to our website at www.agprescue.org. There's plenty of good information about the breed on our website - Pyrs aren't a breed for everyone!

Our adoption application is online: http://agprescue.org/adoption-application/agpr-application-donations/ Please note that we are a small regional rescue organization. We will consider adopting to families within a four to five hour drive to Richmond, VA
