Josie's Story

Josie is a 3.5 month old, 17 lb female Retriever mixed breed.

Josie is currently located in South Texas and will be transported to her new home.

Hi, I'm Josie, and no, your eyes do not deceive you - I have one brown eye and one ice blue eye! I'm very photogenic, don't you think? I was rescued along with five of my siblings (I think I'm the cutest though) and now that we're all safe, I'm enjoying learning how to be a playful pup. I'm adjusting very well. I'm a sweet and lively girl, but I can be a bit of a bed hog sometimes. But hey, who doesn't want a warm snuggle buddy on a chilly night? I am crate trained, but I do prefer the couch or bed, who wouldn't? I love toys and sunbathing outdoors, and I'm starting to practice my leash manners. Exploring is fun, but can also be a bit intimidating to any young puppy, so I hope you will be patient with me. I'm still working on the potty training part, but I know I will get there with time and practice. I share my foster home with a little girl and we are two peas in a pod, so I would be fine with some gentle kids, or some doggy playmates to keep me company. My foster mom says I can be a little timid at times, but also very sweet and cuddly too. I hope to find my own home soon, so I can start bonding with my new family in my new home. Let's meet up and see if we're a good fit!

Our organization only adopts within the United States and Canada.

Faith and Hope is an established rescue group based in Texas but delivers to multiple states on the East and West Coast. All dogs and cats are rescued from the state of Texas to be transported to Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, and others, with placement in their adoptive family’s homes.
