Hi, my name is Josie! I am a 6-year-old, 70lb Goldendoodle. After being bred over and over again, the breeder dumped me at a high kill shelter. I have only known a life of neglect and abuse, so trusting humans is not easy. I want to, but I will need time.<br/><br/>So please do not apply to adopt me because of my “breed” or because I am “hypoallergenic.” My furever home should only want me if they want to make a difference. If you want a “normal” dog, that’s not me. If you want to try to teach me how it feels to be a normal dog for the FIRST TIME, then you’re the family I need.<br/><br/>While I am shy, I will come up to you for pets as long as you are sitting down (you are a lot more intimidating when you stand). I do follow you everywhere, but I keep my distance. I do excellent with other dogs, and actually NEED and would benefit from a dog or two in the home. I am potty trained and my crate makes me feel safe when I need space. A fenced in yard is preferred since walks can make me anxious.
