JONAH's Story
Meet Jonah — Your New Best Friend

Jonah is an absolutely adorable 8- to 9-week-old Great Pyrenees puppy who looks like a little teddy bear crossed with a baby polar bear. He is going to grow into a big, beautiful boy, but right now he is one very cuddly bundle of white fluff.

Jonah has an exceptionally sweet, easygoing personality. He is chill, affectionate, accommodating and very people-oriented. He loves his toys, walks nicely on a leash for such a young puppy, and enjoys exploring—but more than anything else, Jonah wants to be with his people. He loves to snuggle, gives wonderful puppy kisses, and is happiest when he can be close to you.

For such a young puppy, Jonah is also doing remarkably well with his house manners. He does not soil the area where he lives and takes his business outside the kennel. While no 8-week-old puppy can be considered completely housebroken, Jonah has certainly gotten the right idea and is off to an excellent start.

Of course, Jonah is still a baby—and at this age he's part puppy and part little piranha! Those tiny needle teeth and razor-sharp puppy toenails are all part of the package. For that reason, we don't think a home with very young children would be the best fit right now. He will outgrow this stage, but in the meantime, playing with Jonah can sometimes feel a little like getting vaccinated!

Because Jonah is so people-oriented, we are looking for a home where someone is home much of the time. He is not the puppy for someone who works 40 hours a week and plans to leave him alone in a crate or put him outside in the backyard all day. Jonah needs companionship, interaction, training and, most importantly, a family that wants him to be an integral part of their lives.

As with all of our Great Pyrenees placements, Jonah will need good, secure fencing and secure gates. Any swimming pool must be safely fenced and inaccessible to him unless supervised.

Before adoption, Jonah will be neutered and microchipped, brought up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, checked for worms and screened for tick-borne diseases.

Jonah is a beautiful puppy on the outside, but what makes him particularly special is that wonderfully sweet little personality underneath all that white fluff.

If you're looking for a big, loving companion and you're prepared to give a Great Pyrenees puppy the time, attention and companionship he deserves, Jonah just might be your little polar bear.
