This poor guy was left behind when his owners unfortunately divorced and moved away. He'll always love his previous owners, but Johnny's excited to meet his new fur-ever family! He hopes it's yours!

Johnny is a lovable boy with a sweet personality to match! He gets along with other dogs and would thrive in an active home. Whether it's going on hikes, walks, or rock climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Johnny is always ready for an adventure! He's also super smart too! He's very good at scent work which would make him an ideal secret agent in the future. You've heard of Double-O Seven? He's Agent Double-O Dog! Activities, puzzles and other training will definitely help him not get too bored. His foster says that chewing is his part time job, so bully sticks and frozen kongs are king! Johnny also enjoys cuddling while watching his favorite movie: Ratatouille. Did you know he aspires to be a chef too? What can't Johnny do?!

Johnny has a high-prey drive so cats, birds and other critters won't be the best to have around as he'll bark. He doesn't mind children, but his large size might be a little overwhelming for littles under the age of seven. This happy-go-lucky dog loves to swim, ride in a car, walk on a leash (sometimes will pull when excited), is crated at night and is house-broken! He'll occasionally jump because he's happy to see that you've brought home his favorite treats: berries, bananas, frozen veggies and broccoli. Johnny would be best in a home with a big yard where he can roam to his heart's content!

MEDICAL DISCLOSURE: When Johnny was at daycare, there was an incident with his tail and a metal door. He's lost about 6" of his tail. During surgery, he had a bad reaction to Trazodone, the prescription medication, and had seizures. Since then, he's been on meds for seizures.

Bring this spirited giant home today! Johnny's waiting!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

To adopt or learn more about Johnny, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] **

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
