Johnny's Story

Meet Johnny, a charming one-year-old boy who is proving that even after life as a stray, a little love goes a long way. Johnny arrived in rescue alongside Moira and two puppies, Alexis and Stevie, after being found in a California shelter. While his past is a bit of a mystery, his future is looking incredibly bright. Johnny is the definition of a "good boy." He is exceptionally sweet, snuggly, and loving, often looking for ways to stay close to his foster family. If you are looking for a companion who will happily soak up all the affection you can give, Johnny is your guy. He is super smart and learning fast as he's currently figuring out the ins and outs of home life, working on his routine, and learning how to walk politely on a lead. This boy is a social butterfly! He is very dog-friendly—in fact, his foster hasn't found a single dog he doesn't get along with. He especially enjoys playing with Moira and is a wonderful companion to other canines. Johnny is a fast learner who is already making great strides in his foster home.

All Arctic Rescue dogs are marked “yes” to “Needs Experienced Adopter.” This is because Northern Breeds typically have higher exercise, training, and care requirements than others. We recommend thoroughly researching the breed before pursuing adoption, if you do not have prior experience.

Arctic Rescue's Adoption Policy
HOW OUR ADOPTIONS WORK: 1) We require all adopters to fill out an online application at: https://www.arcticrescue.com/adopt 2) We are a Utah-based rescue. All potential adopters must come to Utah and meet the dogs. We do not transport dogs. 3) We want to make sure that your home is the perfect fit for one of our dogs and vice versa. We want all members of the family to be happy and well matched with each-other, so require families to do a phone interview, reference checks, meet dogs and pass a home-inspection before adoption.
