He is chill around other dogs and loves all the respectful children he has met. Once he feels comfortable with them, he follows them everywhere, lays next to them, and is interested in what they are playing! New people are still intimidating to John so he will need a patient family who will let him learn trust and safety in his own time. Good news though! This guy already seems to be potty trained and understand basic commands! He will benefit from further training to help him gain confidence, but he is already off to a great start!<br/><br/>Since he is still decompressing, John Wayne's preferred activities include observing his surroundings from the comfort of the couch, following his humans around, and inspecting his toys to contemplate playing with them...maybe. We think he will do well in a home with or without another dog, with respectful children (if any), and ready for lots of Golden floof balls of hair around the house! He absolutely loves people once he trusts them, and feels safest when leaning into his person. He will army crawl to you in the yard to make sure his paws are touching you. He is an incredibly sweet fella with a gentle personality and will surely be a wonderful companion to his lucky adopter!<br/><br/>John Wayne's adoption fee is $500
