Joey's Story

How YOU doin'?

Joey here. The smaller, fluffier, less famous one... but just as handsome.
I'm a 4-month-old Jack Russell Terrier mix (about 13 pounds now, probably 35-40 when I'm fully grown), and I've been told I'm a pretty easy guy to like. Whether it's the charm or the great hair, I'm not asking questions.

I'm into the simple things: playing until I'm exhausted, then crashing like it's been a long day of auditions. I'm also a big fan of toys - squeaky ones, balls and puzzles are all fair game.
I'm great with other dogs and would be very into having a furry roommate. I'm also good with kids, but I get excited and sometimes launch myself into the air to say hello.

I'm still learning the basics. I know "sit," I'm working on house training, and walks are starting to make more sense. At night, I settle into my crate like it's my own personal recliner and call it a day.

Car rides aren't really my thing yet (my stomach has some opinions), and I'm still in that curious-about-everything phase. But I'm a smart guy, and I'm catching on more all the time.

So, wanna be friends? I'll be there for you.

Joey's adoption fee is $275 and includes his neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Apply to meet him at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters.

APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org

Pawsitive Tails's Adoption Policy
Pawsitive Tails is dedicated to matching the needs and personality of our dogs with your family. We are not in a hurry to adopt out our dogs; we want to make sure the match is perfect for everyone. All of the dogs in our rescue live in foster homes with both the human and furry members of our families. Our adoption process begins with an application which can be found under the "adopt" tab on our website, www.pawsitivetailskc.org. Please complete the form in full; the questions we ask help us to fully understand what type of dog you are looking for, and to make sure you get the very best fit. Incomplete applications will not be processed. If you do not include a vet phone number, a landlord phone number (if applicable), or 3 complete references, we cannot process your application. We will contact your Veterinarian, so please make sure to call them to release your vet history to our volunteer. &nbs
