Hello! I'm Joey, I'm 8 years old, and I love to talk. May I tell you what my foster mom says about me? "Joey is a snuggle bug!" she says, and she's absolutely right. "Joey is perfectly housebroken," she says, and of course I am (isn't everybody?... oh, really?…oh dear). "Joey is the best!" she says, which shows you just how perceptive she is.

Actually, I'm modestly blushing right now, so I'd better talk about something other than my wonderful self. Cars that go by our house! People that come to the door! Dogs I meet on my walks! Bikes and scooters that whiz by! The children across the street! Really, anything new and interesting! Fact is, I love to talk (did I already mention that?), especially when I'm outside. And I love to be outside where I can see and hear and sniff so many things to talk about. My perceptive foster mom thinks I'd do well in obedience training. I don't know what that is, but I'll be happy to talk to you about it when I learn.

Inside the house, though, I don't talk all that much, because everything inside is comfy and familiar. I have my own bedroom—my foster mom calls it a "crate"—and that's where I like to sleep and take my meals and hang out. I like my toys, especially my long squeaky toy. I love to run through the house with it! Sometimes it flies right out of my mouth, and then I chase it. What fun! I also like to spend time alone, snoozing or just relaxing. And I'm pretty sure I'd like cuddling on the sofa with you. In fact, there isn't much I don't like! Maybe that's why my foster mom says I'm "the best."
