Hey there party people! My name is Joey, and I am a 2-year-old Sheltie/American Eskimo mix. I still have A LOT of energy since I'm still so young.

I will need lots of attention and playtime. The folks at MaxFund think I would be a magnificent agility dog! Because I am a herding dog, I have a tendency to nip and try to herd! Don't be surprised if I am a little nippy at first, but with a little bit of training, we should have no problem helping me become the goodest boy. Because of my high energy, I won't be able to go home to a family with children 8 or younger.
I am curious and adventurous, and absolutely love playing outside. Do you have the patience to work with me and take me to training? Are you active enough to keep up with my high energy? How our adoption process works:
1. You MUST come into the shelter to meet a dog you are interested in (and meet a few others, while you’re at it!)

We do not require appointments – come anytime during normal business hours.

Our hours are 10-5 Mon, Wed, Thu Fri / 11-5 Saturday / 12-5 Sunday

We suggest you call ahead to be sure the dog(s) do not have pending applications

2. You will fill out your adoption application, including references, after finding a dog you’d like to adopt

3. The application review and reference checks will take up to 3-5 business days; you will not be able to bring a dog home same-day

We only take 2 applications per dog, before they are unavailable. This is why we suggest you call ahead to check the status of the pup!



We do not adopt out-of-state.
