Health: Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered, special needs. Joey is a sweet, smart, handsome and and loving boy and ready for a family of his own. He's being fostered by an awesome person and thriving in his care Joey is smart, playful and loves to learn. he spends time with a trainer to help him be the best dog possible and is a superstar of a pup. He's a young dog who enjoys leash walks and hanging with his people but he loves nothing more than chilling with a yummy treat at his person's feet. Joey's been making friends with doggies and does well with proper introductions and with respectful pups. He sometimes tires easily on walks but enjoys time outside and shows a lot of interest in squirrels and lizards so has a high prey drive for chasing quick moving critters. Joey suffered a severe fracture to his left, front leg and had surgery to repair the fracture and is fully recovered. This sweet angel also a neurological injury to his other front leg that required amputation but he doesn't let having three legs get him down. He loves people and enjoys treats, cuddles and hanging with his family. Ideally, Joey will live in a first floor home so that he can go right outside to potty. Joey has not been with children and he would do best in a home with oder kids - 12 or so and above, and loves learning. His new family will get an amazing family pet, fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered and ready for the rest of his life in a home of his own. .

Meet Joey

Joey is a sweet, funny and playful boy who loves to swim, ride in cars sitting up like a kangaroo and loves his yummy treats! This darling three-legged boy has the dreamiest brown eyes and will win you over with his sweet disposition and loving gaze. Joey is approximately 16- 18 months old and has many great years ahead to shower his family with love and provide lots of laughs.

Joey's ready for the best of his life with a family of his own and his perfect match would be someone who loves dogs and and will help him feel safe and at ease in his new home environment. Joey has done great with sweet, neutral females and done well with proper introductions of male dogs. Joey has been around children and been very sweet but has always been actively supervised, as all dogs should be.

Joey loves learning and a trainer will facilitate his meet & greet with his lucky family!

Joey was rescued from Miami Dade Animal Services with an open fracture to his left, front leg and a neurological injury to the right, front leg that resulted in an amputation. That doesn't get Joey down, and this three legged wonder can dash great distances, especially if he’s chasing down lizards or squirrels - oh yes, this angel has a strong prey drive so no chickens, lizards or other small creatures for this guy's new home!
