Hi, I'm Jerry Lee aka Mr. Snuggles. I'm a young guy at just 1.5 years old. I weigh about 80 lbs but I have room for about 10 more lbs and I'll take it in treats please. I'm a super friendly boy and I'm honestly one of the sweetest guys you'll ever meet. Just beware - if you sit down I will make myself at home in your lap. <br/><br/>You may have seen me here a few months ago so let me explain. You see, my guardians thought it would be in my best interest to get a little training and consistency so that my next home would be a slam dunk. Don't get me wrong, I'm a very good boy but the first year of my life wasn't all that easy. From the shelter as a young pup, to an adopter that decided they really didn't want a dog, to my rescue friends that I immediately adored then adopted for, get this, 2 whole days, and then the resident dog decided she didn't want to share and back to my rescue friends then to a great foster home where I have learned SOOOO much. <br/><br/>On leash, I'm a pretty easy boy. We've been doing lots of cool walks in this great place where I meet lots of other dogs walking around. I love meeting other dogs. I don't really care for the ones that bark at me and give me the side eye stare but I behave and just wal on. Some random things still startle me but I recover just fine and the more I see the better i am. I love going on walks and adventures and my foster mom lets me enjoy all the wonderful smells - so many smells.<br/><br/>My favorite activity? Cuddling and hanging out with my peeps. If you sit down, I will be in your lap within seconds, gently giving kisses and tucking my head into your chest. Even the vet gets the love! I'm a soft, affectionate boy who just wants to be close to his people. Sometimes when I get playful, my excitement turns into a little jumpy or mouthy behavior, but it's all happy energy and easily guided. I would much rather chew on a treat, squeek a toy or pull a tug then grab your arm (I try to be gentle). <br/><br/>I know my basics pretty well like “sit, down, heel and stay (a tough one for a pup like me). One thing I just discovered was TRAINING. I love training. It's so much fun and I get treats, praise or my tug toy. I also like to play chase the ball and will bring it back to you to chase some more. <br/><br/>I'm a tall, handsome boy and I'm still filling out. I prefer to potty outside but don't forget, I'm will be in a new place with no idea where I'm suppose to go so it's up to you to show me. It's all new to me, you know.
