Jerry 3564's Story
05/20/26. It’s raining reds—meet JERRY! This all-natural, 1-year-old Doberman boy was left with a neighbor when his owners moved to Europe. Unfortunately, the neighbor wasn’t able to keep him, so she brought him to us to help him find his furever home.

Jerry is a sweet guy who can be a little cautious when meeting new people at first, but he warms up quickly with a little time and patience. We’re still getting to know him, but he already seems to crave affection and attention.

He can be leash-reactive around other dogs, so he’ll do best with a confident, experienced handler on walks. Since he’s still a pup, he’ll need some training—but with the right adopter, he’s sure to grow into a loyal, loving companion. Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs. Here are links to foster and adoption applications for those dogs who need a foster home or adoptive home.
Foster Application Adoption Application
