Jenny's Story
Jenny is the sweetest little girl with a gentle, patient personality. She is about 2 years old and tiny at about 15 pounds. She absolutely loves people and isn't shy at all. She will happily greet you with enthusiasm (and yes, a few excited jumps!). While she enjoys being close to her people, she's still learning that being picked up and held is okay. She prefers to keep all four paws on the ground.

Jenny is house-trained and does a great job going outside in the backyard. She's making wonderful progress on leash walks and continues to improve every day. She knows her name, comes when called, and loves the company of other dogs. She has a crate that she considers her safe space and happily sleeps there at night and during naps.

Like many rescue dogs, Jenny has some food insecurity. She eats from a slow feeder and currently does best with supervision during mealtimes because she'll try to sneak bites from the other dogs bowls if given the chance. Feeding her two generous meals each day has helped, and she absolutely loves treats and chew toys.

Jenny also has a bit of separation anxiety. She may cry for a few minutes when you first leave, but she's already making great progress and settles much more quickly than she used to.

Her biggest work-in-progress is her excitement around people. She tends to jump up to say hello and has a habit of weaving around your feet, so she'll need an adopter whos mindful of not tripping over her while she learns better manners.

Overall, Jenny is an incredibly loving, affectionate, and loyal dog who simply wants to be near her people. With a little continued guidance and consistency, she's going to make a wonderful companion for a very lucky family.

For an application go to www.homesfurhounds.org
