Jemma Jindo Gardnerville, NV

Beautiful Jemma arrived in Nevada to her foster home some weeks ago, from the Palmdale Shelter in Ca.
(She arrived with another stray dog-Jenny-and we think they may be related, so perhaps her sister??)
She is approx.. 2 years old, and in the 40lbs range.
Jemma is friendly and playful. She is naturally a little standoffish at first but loves to run & play in the yard.
She has beautiful erect ears-Like a “Gem”?
She seems to love everyone-kids, adults, men, women etc.
Jemma loves head rubs and ear scratching after she settles in and relaxes around her people.
She uses a dog door well, and seems fine with other dogs with slow intros. (We always recommend caution and patience with any dog to dog introductions, regardless of breed).
She is crate trained and does not mind hanging out in it a few hours-and at times over night.
She is fine on a leash but could use a bit more training on leash-she can be a little too eager at the moment but is leaning self control and not to pull so much. She does have a habit of turning and jumping up on you so her foster family are working with her on that as well..
She seems a bit too interested in cats-so we would recommend she go to a forever home with no cats or small animals.
Currently she is housed with her sister and we feed them apart due to some dinner time growling-so we set them up for success.
They came into foster underweight and skinny so they were either loose for a while or neglected but she has put on weight and looks great.
She loves bones as a treat-but you have to set it in front of her and then rub her head and ears or she won’t take it!
She was more shy than her sister (Jenny) but has come out of her shell and loves everyone once she settles and knows them.
