Update: Jedi has found a new home!<br/>--------------------------------------<br/>Jedi is in need of a new home. He will stay with his owner until the perfect match is found. <br/><br/>Like a typical Coonhound, he loves to sniff and follow his nose, and becomes "nose deaf" when on a scent. Since Jedi is a mix, he isn't as stocky as most Black & Tan Coonhounds, but has fairly long ears. He doesn't bay like a Coonie, but does have a loud, deep bark.<br/><br/>Jedi is good with most other dogs, but can be a bit pushy and annoy other dogs, so off-leash dog parks aren't the best fit for him. Private playdates in a safe, fenced area with other dogs would be ideal. He isn't good with cats nor small furry creatures, but could do well in a home with another dog.<br/><br/>He is great with people, as long as they don't mind him initially sniffing them! Since he hasn't lived with children, a home with school-aged kids or older would be best.<br/><br/>He is food motivated like most hounds, so will be fun to train! He has basic obedience training but would probably love to learn some tricks. He does pull on leash so will need an owner who will work on that. Was crate trained as a pup but hasn't been in one since. Non-destructive in the house when left alone, but can be noisy if he hears or sees something outside.<br/><br/>Enjoys car rides, soft stuffed toys (will remove the stuffing!), Kongs and bones to chew, long walks on a longline with good "sniffies," and, of course, comfy places to sleep.<br/><br/>Jedi's owner isn't asking for a rehoming fee, but his owner WILL carefully screen potential homes, including asking to speak with your vet and doing a home check. If you are interested in learning more about Jedi, please contact us and we will put you in touch with his owner.<br/><br/>Jedi currently lives on Vancouver Island, on the westcoast of Canada, and you must come here to meet him. We do not transport pets, and you must live in Canada to adopt.
