Meet Jeb!<br/><br/>Jeb is about 3 years old, weighs around 48 pounds, and appears to be a Norwegian Elkhound.<br/><br/>Jeb came to us as a stray after nobody came forward to claim him. Since entering rescue, we have learned a lot about him, and the biggest thing is that he is just an incredibly sweet dog who seems to love everybody he meets.<br/><br/>We believe Jeb may have spent most of his life outdoors. When he first arrived, he was actually afraid of the leash. And when we say he would not walk on one, we mean he would completely pancake himself to the ground and refuse to move.<br/><br/>He has made a lot of progress since then. He is now walking on leash with much more confidence and continues to work on it every day. He was also hesitant to walk into houses and buildings at first, but that is improving too. He is slowly learning that indoor life is safe and that being a house dog is not such a bad thing.<br/><br/>Jeb absolutely loves people and is friendly with everyone he meets. He has also been great with kids. He enjoys being around other dogs and does very well with the dog in his foster home. There are also cats in the home, and so far he has shown very little interest in them.<br/><br/>He recently went to the groomer for a bath and blowout and did great. He also loves being brushed, which is a good thing because this guy has a lot of hair.<br/><br/>He loves being outside and will require a fenced yard.<br/><br/>Jeb is the kind of dog who just needs someone patient enough to keep teaching him all of the things he never learned before. He is super sweet, gentle, and happy to be included in whatever is going on. He has already come such a long way and continues to gain confidence every day.<br/><br/>Jeb is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, has had a fecal test, and is on monthly preventatives.<br/><br/>His adoption fee is $350.<br/><br/>Applicants must live within a one-hour driving distance of Cleveland, Ohio.
