Meet Jeb!<br/><br/>Jeb is about 3 years old, weighs around 48 pounds, and appears to be a Norwegian Elkhound.<br/><br/>He came to us as a stray after nobody came forward to claim him. We followed every lead we had, contacted the police and the dog warden, and eventually Jeb officially became part of the rescue.<br/><br/>Jeb is just a really nice dog.<br/><br/>He is sweet, friendly, quiet, and seems genuinely happy to be around people. Everyone he has met so far has been a friend in Jeb’s mind. He has also met other dogs and has done great with them. There are cats in his foster home, and so far he really doesn’t seem too concerned about them either.<br/><br/>We believe Jeb may have spent most of his life outside, because being a house dog is still pretty new to him. He is learning how to walk on a leash, how to settle inside, and what exactly humans expect from him when he is in a house. None of that seems to bother him. He is just taking it all in and trying to figure it out.<br/><br/>Jeb doesn’t need someone to “fix” him. He just needs someone willing to teach him how to be a real dog. Someone who will show him that couches are for sleeping, leashes mean adventures, and being part of a family is actually pretty great.<br/><br/>One thing Jeb already knows for sure is that being brushed is fantastic. He LOVES it. Which works out well, because this guy has a thick coat.<br/><br/>Jeb will require a fenced yard.<br/><br/>He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, has had a fecal test, and is on monthly preventatives. He also tested positive for Lyme disease after we noticed him limping and has been started on treatment.<br/><br/>Jeb’s adoption fee is $350.<br/><br/>Applicants must live within a one-hour driving distance of Cleveland, Ohio.
