I am being fostered in Wichita, KS.<br/><br/>I'm a gentle, quiet girl who is learning how to enjoy life. I can be a little shy at first and prefer to come to you on my own terms rather than being approached right away but once I do, I absolutely love being pet (especially under my chin!). I've also been around older children in my foster home and do well with them, enjoying the extra attention they give me.<br/><br/>I need another dog in my new home. I get along well with my foster family's dogs ... a mini dachshund and a chihuahua mix, which have helped me build confidence and trust in my new surroundings.<br/><br/>I love spending time outside in a fenced yard, lounging in the sunshine, and taking cozy naps on the patio. I'm still learning some basics but making progress at my own pace.<br/><br/>I've been doing great with house manners and have not had any accidents in my foster home. I sleep peacefully through the night in a crate or pen, and while I started off eating smaller meals, my appetite is steadily improving.<br/><br/>Additional comments:<br/>As a former breeder dog, she is still gaining confidence and will do best with a family who understands her background and is willing to give her time to adjust. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced.
