Jazzy's journey didnt begin in a warm home with a loving family. She was abandoned after giving birth and left to fend for herself among the almond orchards. She wandered alone, searching for food, water, and somewhere safe to sleep. She was frightened. She was unsure of people. And she had no idea that someone was coming for her. When Wilton Animal Rescue received the call, our trapping team went to work. For days, our volunteers searched the orchards, followed sightings, placed trail cameras, and patiently waited for the opportunity to bring her to safety. Then one evening...Jazzy finally walked into the humane trap. That was the moment her life changed. But getting her safe was only the beginning. Jazzy needed medical care, including treatment for foxtails that had become embedded in her body. She also needed to be spayed and thoroughly checked by a veterinarian. <br/><br/>The scared dog who once had to survive on her own is discovering what it feels like to be safe. She has food. Fresh water. A soft place to sleep. People who care about her. And most importantly...She finally has a future.
