Jay's Story

If you're looking for a little dog with a big heart, Jay might just be your perfect match.

We believe Jay is a **Miniature Pinscher mix**, and while we estimate he's around **8 years old**, his exact age is a mystery. What isn't a mystery is how much this little guy loves the simple things in life a cozy bed, his favorite blankie, tasty treats, and all the attention he can get.

Jay came to CCHS as a stray after being left behind and in need of serious medical care. Thankfully, those days are behind him. He's feeling so much better now and is ready to leave his past where it belongs.

This sweet gentleman is incredibly people-friendly and loves soaking up affection. Whether you're sitting on the couch or walking through the room, Jay is always happy to remind you that he's there and would love a few extra pets.

He also came in with another dog and has done well around canine companions. Cats don't seem to bother him either he's definitely curious about them, but more intrigued than anything else.

One of our favorite things about Jay? His manners. Offer him a treat, and he'll politely sit and wait to accept it like the little gentleman he is. His treat motivation also makes him a wonderful candidate for continuing to learn new things.

Jay doesn't ask for much. Give him a soft bed, a warm blanket, someone to love, and a family to call his own, and he'll be one happy little dog.

After everything he's been through, it's finally Jay's turn to be the one who's chosen.

We do not hold available/adoptable animals as we are a first come first serve facility. However, we do place animals in homes that are best fitting for that animal. If you rent, please supply your landlord's information as we cannot adopt until we speak to them directly or have something in writing approving the animal(s) allowed. If you are interested in us matching you with a forever pet, please fill out an adoption questionnaire below for us to know a little bit more about you! Please keep in mind we do require vet checks and meet and greets with other dogs in the home. It normally takes 30 + minutes for the adoption process.
