Meet Jax, a 7-year-old Dane/Hound mix who's the perfect blend of maturity and fun. This sweet boy enjoys the company of other dogs and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard to explore with a friend or two. He's also quite intelligent, Jax knows commands like 'sit' and 'shake'. He is heartworm positive but don't worry, his treatments are going very well. Jax is currently available to go home through our foster-to-adopt program while continuing his heartworm treatment. This gentle giant deserves a home where he can be nurtured and loved. C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

All animals are spayed / neutered before they are available for adoption. This helps reduce pet overpopulation in the Ozarks - the highest in the country. Each animal is current on vaccinations. Both dogs and cats must receive three total sets of vaccinations to prevent deadly animal diseases. All animals at C.A.R.E. are kept current on their vaccinations while in our care (All animals are vaccinated for Bordetella or "kennel cough", DA2PPV, CVK-puppies, DA2PPV, Lepto-adult dogs, FVRCP-C-kittens & adult cats). Dogs and cats above the age of 12 weeks old also receive their rabies shots and are sent home with a rabies certificate, collar, & rabies tag. If a puppy or kitten is adopted before they have received the total three vaccinations, it is the responsibility of the adopter to provide them. Each animal has been dewormed and treated for fleas. Worms are parasites that can cause serious damage to your pet. C.A.R.E. deworms all of the animals in our care.
