What he does need is structure, routine, a knowledgeable owner to guide him. <br/><br/>Jasper is about 3 years old and was born deaf. You would never know it watching him enjoy living. He can roll with the world just like any other dog, under proper guidance. This pup has many great qualities and could be your next best friend!<br/><br/>Jasper's future family will need to be mindful to keep him safe and willing to learn how to communicate with him. Deaf dogs are incredibly capable, smart, and bond deeply with their people. With consistency and positive training, they absolutely shine.<br/><br/>Jasper is:<br/> Good with kids (15+)<br/> Good with other dogs (when out and about - not in the home)<br/> Your willingness to train/set consistent boundaries with him, he's a certified lovebug <br/><br/>We currently have him on a diet to help him lose a few pounds for his long-term health hes taking it like a champ. The volunteers try to get him out on long walks daily. <br/><br/>Stop by to fill out an adoption application and spend as much time as you like with our dogs. Please call your veterinarian to permit them to speak with us for our vet check. If you rent, bring proof (lease/contract) that you are allowed to have a dog.<br/><br/>If you have a dog at home, two meet-and-greets are required. We offer a free session with our trainer, Canine Cooperative, once an adoption is finalized.<br/><br/>Our adoption fee is $150 for dogs.
