Jason's Story
Meet Jason.

Jason came to us busted up.
Skin issues....cherry eye.
Heartworms.
The whole shitty owner starter pack.... None of it was his fault. And somehow, after all that, this dog still wakes up every day like, “Cool, what’s for breakfast?”

Here’s the part that keeps me up at night...
Jason doesn’t really complain about kennel life. He tolerates it. He just wants his 2 hots and a cot. And that’s the problem...He shouldn’t have to. He should miss a family, but it's evident he's never had one that cared. He's fine being someone's side piece.

He doesnt know it yet, but he wants a couch to claim. Some outside time to sniff around, but then come right back inside if he hears that sweet sweet kibble hit the food bowl. Food. Dear god, the man loves food. He maybe wants to bark at the door like he’s security - because he is. I have no doubt he would protect his family if given the rare chance to. He can be athletic when it comes down to it, but he’s not trying to run marathons anymore. He’d thrive in a low/medium energy home. He can be a little ornery with other dogs at times, but he usually tolerates them just fine, he just doesn’t want them in his face all the time.

What kills me is that Jason is the kind of dog people overlook. He’s older. He's itchy. He’s not flashy. But he is a solid, loyal dog. Funny in a way.

He survived neglect and still carries his dignity. Like a retired veteran, he should not spend the rest of his life in a kennel just because people keep scrolling past his posts to find the dogs more appealing to the eye.

So please help us find him a home.
If you’ve got room for him, dont hesitate. He needs you. Apply today.

Jason is 7 years old, 20 pounds, neutered.

https://form.jotform.com/92846379021159
