He was recently shaved by a previous owner, which is not recommended for his breed. Siberian Huskies have a double coat that helps regulate their body temperature—protecting them from both heat and cold. When shaved, the coat can grow back unevenly or lose some of its natural protective function, so Jangles should not be shaved again moving forward.<br/><br/>Despite his rocky grooming history, Jangles is a fun, affectionate, and very social boy. He knows basic commands like sit, lay, and will even offer his paw for treats. He is good with cats, enjoys car rides, and loves being part of whatever his people are doing.<br/><br/>This energetic boy has a zest for life—he enjoys walks, playing fetch, and especially swimming. He does pull on a leash and will need continued training, but he is smart and food-motivated, which will help him learn quickly. Jangles is also very vocal, as many Huskies are, and isnt shy about expressing himself.<br/><br/>Jangles does not enjoy baths. He will thrive in an active home that understands Husky energy and can provide structure, exercise, and enrichment. In the right home, Jangles will be a hilarious, loyal, and adventurous companion who keeps life interesting every day.<br/><br/>At the Humane Society of Midland County, all animals adopted will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to an adoption. Dogs over 6 months of age will be heartworm tested, and any dog with a positive test will receive treatment at No Appointment Needed to Meet Adoptable Animals! <br/>We have open adoption hours, and walk-ins are always welcome! While filling out an application lets us know you're interested in adopting, it does not hold an animal, and applications are not required to meet the available animals.
