Janey's Story

Jane is a 7–8 month old puppy, about 40–45 lbs, expected to mature into a well-built medium-large girl.

She came from a rough start in Texas with her litter, but has fully settled into foster life and has grown into a fun, easy, and well-rounded young dog.

Jane has a really nice balance of playful and calm. Outside, she’s all joy. She loves chasing tennis balls, splashing in the puppy pool, rolling in the grass, and keeping herself entertained with squeaky toys and Wubbas. She also takes her “grasshopper patrol” duties very seriously.

Inside, she’s relaxed and easy to live with. She’s happy to grab a bone, pick a couch or dog bed, and just hang out near her people without being demanding or in your face.

She is very social with other dogs and reads them well. She can play, adjust her energy, and also step back when it’s time to settle. She would likely enjoy having another dog in the home but is also able to relax independently once comfortable.

With new people, Jane can start off a little reserved. She doesn’t take long to warm up, especially with treats, and once she does, she shows her affectionate, goofy, and very sweet personality.

She is highly food motivated, which has made training easy and enjoyable. She already knows sit, touch, comes to a whistle, and is working on down. She’s also been doing well with crate time and home routines and keeps a tidy space for her age.

Jane is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines including DHPP, rabies, and bordetella. She has a negative fecal, has been dewormed, is on preventatives, and has been vet cleared for adoption.

Application:
https://airtable.com/appklteyg5w2e0fmu/shrY8RxQc1KxQYCuv

Approved application and scheduled appointment required to meet and adopt.

Scout’s Street Smart Rescue adopts to PA, NJ, MD, DE, NY, VA, WV, OH, MA, RI, VT, NH, CT, ME, NC (case by case exceptions)

Kennel License #19083
Glenolden, PA 19036

Out of state adoptions are ALLOWED. We currently adopt to homes located in PA, NY, MD, DE, NJ, MA, CT, RI, OH, NH, OR, WA, SC, and FL. We will also adopt to homes located within 200-250 miles from Amarillo, TX 79101, and may make exceptions on a case-by-case basis for longer distances or other states. Potential adopters must submit an initial application that will be followed up by a phone interview and home check. We call two personal non-family references (ie. friends, neighbors or co-workers) that are to be listed on the application. If there are any current pets in the home, we will call your Veterinarian as well to ensure all pets are up to date on state required vaccines and are spayed/neutered. Potential adopter must provide basic care for the life of the animal. An adoption contract must be thoroughly read, completed, and signed by the adopter before the adoption is complete. The adoption process could range anywhere from a few hours, up to a week. We do NOT hold dogs/puppies.
