Meet Jammie Dodger
*** I was rescued from a kill shelter in Texas and transported to the Spokane, WA area where I am available for adoption. The rescue in Texas is still processing his application from their website
My name is Jammie, but my foster family has been calling me "Jasper" or "DJ Jazzy Jams". I am the sweetest little terrier mix you'll ever meet especially after what I went through my first year. I was abandoned in an apartment for 3 weeks without food or water, before the local shelter in my town discovered me and that is where I stayed for 2 months until I was rescued by Cuz i Matter Animal Rescue, where now I am safe in a wonderful foster home where I am getting the necessary food and water that I need to be healthy. I am highly food motivated and eager to both learn and please. My foster family is currently working on my leash manners and basic commands as I do love to go for walks and I am not a big "puller" at all. I am housebroken and crate trained and will sleep all night in my crate without a peep, unless you are willing to share your bed as I have been told I am a wonderful snuggle buddy. I also love to go for car rides, am great with the kids I have met. But since I am still very much a puppy, we’d recommend slightly older kids as I could accidentally knock over a little one. With other dogs in the home, it's best to find a calm older dog that can teach me how to be a dog. Small dogs and large groups of dogs tend to overwhelm me at the moment, so right now I'd not be a good candidate for dog parks or doggie daycare but this could change as I am more socialized. Right now I am 40-45 pounds, but should be in the 60-65 pound range.
With regards to Cats, he has not been around cats, but he does give the indication of wanting to chase, so to be safe, we’re going to say no cats.
