Jam 13998's Story

Ain't no stopping the rhythm when Jam's around! This white Chihuahua with one cool brown ear is built for adventure and has the moves to prove it. She's curious about everything, quick on her paws, and always ready to explore new places (...stairs included!) Jam brings peppy enthusiasm to every moment, turning even an ordinary walk into a mini expedition. Her fun-loving spirit and confident stride make her a great match for someone who enjoys life on the go, but still appreciates quiet cuddle breaks. If you're searching for a moderately active buddy who's playful, loyal, and totally tubular, Jam's your girl.

Here's some notes from her foster:

Little Jam is one of the sweetest pups we've ever fostered. The perfect day for Jam would be to sleep under her favorite blanket in her cozy bed until 8 or 9. She promptly goes outside to go potty and then "races" upstairs for breakfast. This girl loves her food! So far, she hasn't tried anything that she hasn't liked! After breakfast, she loves to hop on the couch under her favorite blanket for a post breakfast nap.

After about 30 -60 minutes, we go for a nice walk. She is dreamy on a leash, but will pull and bark when she sees another dog, but she's easily distracted. If we need to run errands, Jam loves to ride in the car with her blanket. She curls up and settles right in. We try to eat dinner around 5:30, Jam will acts like she's starving! She's so cute, she will get up on her back legs and put her little paws together up in the air and wave them up and down! This is something that she does periodically when she wants to get your attention and it's really the cutest thing!

Jam enjoys a short afternoon walk and a nice 30 min + walk after dinner. She snuggles on the couch until bedtime, she goes outside to go potty very easily and quickly and comes back and puts herself right to bed! Jam isn't much of a barker. We had two instances within the first week where she would bark when we left the room, when she got comfortable that stopped. She does whimper and cry when she thinks you're not paying enough attention to her , but it's not a constant thing. The attachment behavior has lessened as she has gotten comfortable.

She will let you know when she wants to be left alone- she gives you "the look, "and goes and gets under her blanket. She is really easy to bathe, she's allowed us to give her showers and she never complains. She definitely gets the zoomies and loves to play with a little ball or her little mouse toy. One thing we have learned to be careful of is not to sit down on any blankets before looking!!!

Jam is a sensitive girl with a mischievous and sassy side. She is really adaptable to her environment as long as she's given love and attention, good food, and a couple of blankets to snuggle up under. She's a special one!
