Jake's Story
Say hello to Jake! Young Jake was picked up as a stray along with his sister in the spring of 2025 and was adopted later that summer. He was sadly returned to the shelter by being dumped in the front yard on a cold wet December night. Poor Jake doesn't understand why he's back in a kennel and is most distraught about his situation, but who can blame him? This beautiful brindle boy has done nothing wrong and yet is currently the longest staying resident at our shelter and it's simply breaking his heart (and ours). Day-after-day he waits anxiously for his new family to choose him. Jake's signature characteristics are his speckled tongue and his kangaroo hops in the yard (quite endearing, if we do say so ourselves)! He is also a volunteer favorite to take out on trips about town and to adoption events. He truly is the goodest boy! Jake is desperately hoping for his second chance home where he will be cherished and loved the way he deserves! Come meet Jake and find a friend for life!
