Jagger BAS f/k/a Def American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Lenoir, NC

Jagger is shy but affectionate with a guesstimated birthday of Dec. 4, 2020. He is the last of 9 in his litter searching for his forever home. After a long stay in foster care, he has moved into our Shelter.

Jagger's previous foster has cats and they have reported he hyper-focuses on them. Cats in his forever family would probably not be appreciative of this attention.

A family which includes bigger dogs would be best for Jagger. He has good doggy social skills with polite dogs.

Although still hesitant of strangers, Jagger is doing well with his leash-walking skills. He loves going on hikes and will load into the car to join his handlers on excursions.

Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we usually have to make our best guess as to birthdate and breed.

If adopted into a home with other animals, particularly cats, your new pet should be crated or secured when you're not available to supervise to insure a harmonious relationship.

A vet reference is required to confirm responsible pet ownership. Requirement is a minimum three-year vet history documenting current / previous pets are spayed / neutered, kept up to date on core vaccinations, and on heartworm prevention. We suggest first time pet owners without a vet history look for an adult dog for companionship and to gain experience. Other rescues or your local government-run animal control agency may have different adoption requirements.

Adoption fee covers two vaccinations. Additional fees for 3rd puppy vaccination, refundable spay/neuter deposit, etc. may apply.

Jagger is being housed in our Bunch Anderson Shelter Building (BAS) in Lenoir and can be seen Saturdays from 12 -3 p.m. and Thursdays 4-7 p.m. during the summer months.

We are an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue with a few of our sweet ones in our Bunch Anderson Shelter located next to Waggin' Tail Resale & Marketplace (220 Joyceton Church Road) in Lenoir. We receive no funding from agencies.
