Jackson's Story
COURTESY POST! This is a courtesy post for Foster South LA, please email: fostersouthladogs@gmail.com for more information.

Meet Jackson — a gentle soul who’s learning just how good home life can be.

At around 4 years old and 58lbs, Jackson is a wonderfully chill pup with a calm, easygoing demeanor. He enjoys the simple pleasures: long naps, tasty treats, peaceful walks, and car rides (especially with his head out the window, soaking it all in). Watching him relax and come into his own after shelter life has been truly special.

This smart boy is a quick learner. In just two weeks, he’s already mastered “sit,” figured out the doggie door, and even taught himself to use the potty pad on the back porch by following his foster siblings’ lead. He does great in his crate overnight—as long as he gets a potty break before bed—and often chooses to nap in his crate during the day with the door open.

Jackson walks nicely on leash and is continuing to build confidence when seeing other dogs. He’s only had one training class so far, and he’s already showing lots of promise. At home, he’s gentle and respectful with his two female dog foster siblings, happily coexisting without bothering them. He’s also shown little interest in cats or wildlife like coyotes when spotted on walks.

He has a sweet, goofy side too—occasional toy play, the start of some zoomies, and a loving, easygoing presence that makes him a joy to have around. Jackson is a gentle, funny, and tender-hearted pup who’s clearly enjoying learning what it means to feel safe and at home.

If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion who will continue to blossom with love and routine, Jackson may be your perfect match!

For more information email: fostersouthladogs@gmail.com or apply to adopt and meet Jackson: https://www.fostersouthla.com/adopt-a-dog
