Jack in Texarkana TX's Story

Jack is a male black and tan Dachshund. Jack is 3 years old and weighs 13 lbs. Jack is neutered, vaccinated including rabies, and undergoing slow kill treatment for heartworms. Jack is ready for adoption.

Jack is a beautiful, loving fellow. He is potty trained, kennel trained, and walks ok on a leash. Jack gets along with other dogs. He also really loves and protects his family. Jack was adopted last fall by a family with two adults and two elementary school age children. He did well in the home, loving all his family. However he believed his job was to protect his family from other people who visited the home, family and friends. Some regular visitors he would eventually accept, but for an active family with lots of people about, Jack’s protectiveness was a problem. They felt he would be happier and safer in a less active home, and gave him up tearfully. Jack is a best buddy, cuddler, playful. He just needs the right situation.

Adoption fee is $350.
