Jack Frost's Story

Meet Jack Frost

Don't let the frosty name fool you — Jack Frost is pure warmth.

At 13 years young, this sweet Shih Tzu gentleman has perfected the art of companionship. His favorite place in the whole world? Curled up next to you (or better yet, in your lap), soaking up snuggles and handing out soft little tail wags like they're gifts. Jack isn't just a dog — he's a cozy, living, breathing best friend.

He loves the simple things in life: leisurely walks around the neighborhood, sunny nap spots, gentle belly rubs, and being close to his people. Wherever you are, that's exactly where Jack wants to be.

Jack does have dry eyes that require daily drops, but don't worry — he takes them like an absolute champ. No fuss, no drama, just one more reason he's such an easy, lovable guy to care for.

He gets along great with other dogs and enjoys their company, though when it comes to mealtime, he politely prefers his food to himself (and honestly, who can blame a distinguished gentleman for wanting to savor dinner in peace?).

Jack Frost may be a senior, but his heart is full of love and his spirit is as sweet as ever. He's past the puppy chaos and fully committed to the good life: cuddles, companionship, and quiet moments with his favorite human.

If you're looking for a loyal little shadow, a professional snuggler, and a gentle soul to warm your days, Jack Frost is ready to melt your heart.

Come meet him — he's saving a spot right next to you.

PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $200 and you can adopt me at www.polkadogz.org.

Polka Dogz Pet Rescue's Adoption Policy
A homeless pet is more than one in a million—she's one in 2.7 million. That's the number of adoptable dogs and cats who are still euthanized each year in the United States, simply because too many pets come into shelters and too few people adopt. The number of euthanized animals could be reduced dramatically if more people adopted pets instead of buying them. When you adopt, you save your animal and open up shelter space for another animal who might need it. Polka Dogz saves these dogs from kill shelters especially the medically needy. We fix them up good as new and make them highly adoptable pets. Please support homeless pets and "adopt, don't shop, lives depend on it". We will soon have a property to call our own where people can volunteer, visit, and have a meet and greet with their potential new pet. Stay tuned.
