Jack's Story
Let us introduce you to Jack, a true gentleman of a certain age. This wonderful old guy lived happily with his owner from the time he was a puppy until she passed away, and he was pulled from the shelter in the nick of time. We know that his next wonderful family is out there!

Jack is 13 years old, and he is a classic little old guy:

He is a somewhat portly, weighing 47 pounds when he should weigh closer to 40.
His hips are a bit stiff from arthritis and he has been started on supplements (and a diet!)
He has cataracts that make walking around in dim light a bit of a challenge but otherwise he sees fine.
His teeth are actually in pretty good shape.
His black and white coat has been shaved in the past, but we can tell that it will be soft and thick when it fully grows out again.
He is completely housebroken and crate-trained, knows his basic obedience commands and has wonderful house manners.

And when it comes to his personality, you could not ask for a nicer senior citizen. Jack loves all people, he loves all other dogs, he loves to go for rides and walks, and he even enjoys a dip in the pool! Jack absolutely loves to putter, slowly exploring and poking around the yard and house, and every time his foster mom sits down Jack is at her feet, quietly hoping for some pets and snuggles.

Jack is ready to start the next chapter of his life, and if you are interested in applying for this handsome old gentleman please complete our adoption application on our website. Jack is fostered in Graham, NC.

https://aussierescueofthemidatlantic.org/applications-2/

Jack
