He is a mature guy who has figured out the balance between having fun and time to relax. The woods are his happy place, whether he’s romping with canine friends, stretching his legs on a run, or keeping an eye on squirrels to ensure they stay in their trees. If you love hiking, jogging or exploring trails, Jack will happily be your loyal sidekick. He’s also fantastic in the car and thinks road trips are one of life’s greatest joys.<br/><br/>Despite his love for activity, Jack is not a high-maintenance, nonstop-energy dog. He’s solidly medium energy and settles beautifully after exercise. In the evenings, his favorite place is curled up beside - or preferably on - his humans. He is a devoted lap dog and cuddle expert.<br/><br/>Jack is wonderfully experienced in the world. He has lived with children, gets along great with other dogs, and even shares his home with three cats. He walks nicely on a gentle leader and can be trusted loose in the house. He is well-behaved, and he doesn’t chase cars, lunge at people, or react to animals. All he wants is engagement with his special person or family.<br/><br/>The ideal home for Jack has Border Collie experience and understands smart dogs. He is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. The cost of this procedure is included in his adoption fee. Upon adoption, all of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.<br/><br/>As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.
