Jack's Story

Hi, I’m Jack! I’m a 30-pound, 6-year-old Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I came to RescueConnect after spending about a month in a shelter, following some time on my own. Because of my past, I can be a little unsure around new people outside the home, so I’ll need a bit of patience and guidance when meeting strangers. But once I trust you, get ready—my signature “jumping for joy” greetings will win you over in no time!

My fosters have completely fallen in love with my playful, spirited nature—what they call my “jumping Jack” attitude. I enjoy playing with my foster sister (she’s about my size), soaking up the sunshine on the deck, watching birds, going for car rides, and, of course, cuddling on the couch with my humans.

I’m housebroken and do great on a leash. I’ll even let you know when I need to go out with a polite little tip-tap by the door. At night, I sleep soundly in my dog bed, and in the morning, I love to snuggle up and gently wake you. After spending time on my own, I’ve developed a special love for mealtime—another occasion for my joyful jumping!

My perfect home would be one where I’m part of a pack—I really love having other dogs around and people nearby most of the time. A two-story home would be ideal for me, since storms can be scary and I feel much more comfortable when I’m farther away from the noise. I’m not a fan of being crated, so I’d do best in a home where I can stay out and relax with my furry friends while my humans are away.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who brings both cuddles and a little bounce to your life, I’d love to meet you. Are you ready for some love—with a side of happy hops?
