Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but if your application appears to be a good match for the dog we will reach out within 3 days.<br/>Jack is a male 3.5 year old (born 12/22) shih tzu mix, he looks very much like a shih tzu with his big eyes, underbite and cute face. Jack's owner passed away and he has been staying with family, sadly they have a baby who is very allergic to dog and it was no longer possible for them to keep him. Jack is just over 18 lbs and very sweet but shy, he does bark at first meet, but in 3-4 minutes he is your friend. Jack likes to play and we are told he is housetrained and has good manners in the home. He is a good little watchdog too.<br/>Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please email us before applying to see if the dog you are interested in may be a candidate for long distance adoption. We may consider long distance adoptions for dogs who have been in our rescue for 6 + months with no local candidates.<br/>If you are interested in adopting one of our rescues, please visit our main website for adoption procedures at www.pupsandpals.net and then fill out our application. We do not have a shelter/kennel. Our pets are fostered/boarded all over LA and Orange County.<br/>This pet is altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had a brief temperament evaluation to help us determine what type of a home he/she would thrive in.
