Jace's Story

Hi, I’m Jace—a 5yearold white and brown bulldog mix, 55 pounds of pure snuggle-powered chaos. I’m basically a weighted blanket with legs. My hobbies include belly rubs, head scratches, and forcing myself into your lap even though I am absolutely not lap-sized. I don’t care. I will sit on you anyway.

I’m smart—like “I know sit, down, and leave it” smart. And I could learn more because I’m extremely motivated by snacks. You want me to do something? Present treat. I will comply.

My favorite toys?
Kong stuffed with kibble or peanut butter (chef’s kiss), bones, stuffed animals, and anything I can fetch... although I don’t always return the ball. I believe in boundaries. And by boundaries, I mean I keep the ball now.

I’m potty trained, crate trained, and walk great on a leash. I’m also a certified goober who follows you around the house like your personal emotional support bulldog.

Now, let’s talk about my “quirks,” because apparently humans like full disclosure:

I am not good with dogs. Fear? Trauma? Who knows. I don’t like them.

I love cats, except if they come near my food. Then it’s “absolutely not.”

I was chained in a yard most of my life and starved, so yes, I guard my food. You would too.

One side of my face will never fill in due to an old injury, but don’t worry—I still look adorable.

I am neutered, vaccinated, and I’ve completed heartworm treatment like the champion I am.

And now for the big one:
I am terrified of storms, guns, and fireworks. Absolutely not. Hard pass. Zero stars.
When the sky starts yelling or humans start making loud boom noises, I need my airline crate—my safe little bunker. Put me in there, let me decompress, and I’ll ride out the apocalypse in comfort.

I’m currently in Hampton, VA, but I can be transported out of state for the right home. Transport fees may apply if volunteer transport isn’t available.

If you’re looking for a loving, clingy, goofy, treat-motivated best friend who will sit directly on your internal organs to express affection—and who needs his emotional support crate during storms—I’m your guy.
