J.J. 's Story

Meet J.J. She is a stunningly beautiful Border Collie who was rescued from an unfortunate situation in GA where an elderly couple who had raised and loved Border Collies for many years, could not take care of her and the other dogs anymore. None were mistreated nor abused and all were loved. J.J. is a little shy at first but she is extremely loving and she seems to bond quickly and trust. She loves lots of attention, scratches and pets. She is so sweet and loving with her foster family and will sit next to them with her head on their lap! She is eager to please and responds well to positive feedback. She has a good off switch as long as she gets adequate playtime/exercise during the day. Her recall is great but she needs help/work with her leash walking skills.
J.J. is a pretty high-energy girl and it would be optimal if she had another playful and friendly dog to romp with. She can be a bit on the bossy side with other dogs, so she would not be a good match with another strong female. She loves to chase squirrels in the backyard and we think she might do this with cats as well.
She has not been child tested yet but given her nature, we do not think there would be a problem with children who understand dog boundaries/etiquette.
J.J. is a very fun, playful girl who loves to play with toys, other dogs and her people. She is that Border Collie perfect mix of brains, beauty and personality!

Please fill out an Adoption Application if you are interested in J.J. Fenced yards are preferred.

Clancy's Dream Inc.'s Adoption Policy
When you adopt any companion animal, especially a rescue, it is a commitment that will affect your lifestyle for many years to come. Do you have the time, energy and resources necessary to devote to a new member of the family? With good care, most Border Collies will live 10 to 17 years. It is critical that you consider what is likely to be happening in your own life — before you adopt a pet. If you can provide a healthy, safe and loving home and would like to adopt a Clancy’s Dream rescued Border Collie the next step is to read our Adoption Process Quick Facts and then complete the Adoption Application. Please note that the application is not an agreement to adopt a pet. Improper placement can end tragically — usually for the dog. This comprehensive application helps us to place the right dog with the right family. An adoption interview will be scheduled either by phone or in person upon review of the application. The level of experience required, need for a fence, adequate exercise space, hours the animal may be left alone, young children and other pets in the home, etc will be discussed in the adoption interview and will be determined according to the need of each dog.
